It is with great excitement that Sheriff Alex Lape announces the expansion of the Community Services Unit. Historically, Community Services provided safety trainings to schools, businesses and churches at request. This unit was headed by one Sergeant who represented the Sheriff’s Office in partnership with local agencies and at the county fairs, festivals and special events.
Two additional deputies, R.D. Maple and Tiffany Hedrick will now join Sergeant T.J. Strawn and be assigned to the new Community Response Unit in an effort to expand community engagement in a variety of ways. All of these Deputies have over twenty (20) years of experience each and advanced training in a multitude of disciplines.
