The 2023 Fairfield County Fallen Officer memorial was held today at the downtown bandstand in Lancaster. We gathered to honor the selfless sacrifice of our friends and family members who are gone, but not forgotten.
The surviving family members honored all Deputies and Officers by pinning a blue ribbon to each uniform. A most beautiful rendition of the National Anthem was offered, a helicopter fly-over, 'taps' were played along with Amazing Grace on the bagpipes. It was quite an emotional day.
